my visual arts classic project: defeating feminist stereotypes people stereotype feminists as aggressive, lesbian women, who despise men and only advocate women’s rights; so in my project i decided to take people who didn’t fit the stereotype and photograph them with these signs to show that anyone can be a feminist. people are intimidated by the word ‘feminism’ because of the stereotype, but anyone who supports women’s rights is a feminist regardless of their sexual and gender identities
